Week 14
November 30 - December 4, 2015
It’s hard to believe that this is my final week here in the Capitol—time flew by! For my last blog, I wanted to include the first picture I took here from back in August. In the time since this picture was taken, I’ve learned more personally and professionally than I would have ever expected. I’ve met some of the most genuine and kind-hearted individuals that I’ve met since my time in college and can now truly say that I have friends from all over the world. To finish out my blog, I leave you with a little holiday cheer.
‘Twas the final week in Washington D.C., when all through the town,
Every intern was packing, all headed back to our hometown.
The holiday decorations were hung with such care,
A nostalgic reminder that we soon would not be there.
Global celebrations were had and friendships were bonded,
Experiences so unique to D.C., that the memories will forever be solid.
All of our new friends made last-minute plans,
To make full use of our time together, the best we can.
Even here at BRAVO!, we’re preparing our goodbyes,
Reminiscing about our events and even the fly-guys.
To the wonderful BRAVO! team I must say,
Thank you so much, I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
As I prepare to leave this amazing city,
With all of its suits, politics, and committees,
I am grateful for the usual suspects and my PR roomie.
To be honest, without them, this program would have been so much more gloomy.
Shipping up to Boston to finish out my senior year,
I’ve grown so much this semester, I am no longer as nervous
with graduation so near.
So to all those who have made this semester the best,
Thank you for everything, there’s no doubt I’ve been incredibly blessed.
Onwards and upwards!
