Hello, everyone!
My name is Marie Quaranta and I am extremely excited to be a BRAVO! intern this summer. I was born and raised in a small town in Maryland, but my family has always worked and thrived in D.C. This summer is my opportunity to make my family proud and show D.C. what I have to offer. I don’t know about y’all but I’m up for the challenge!
My first week at BRAVO! came and went in the blink of an eye. As one of the youngest interns (16 baby!) to ever work here, this is my first office job. I overcame the challenges of working in a little family business and learned the strength it takes to work outside from 9-5 no matter the weather. While working at an antique store and an orchard could be no more different than working at BRAVO!, I feel these experiences have prepared me for what is to come.
To me, working at BRAVO! is a step towards my independence (thus the picture of independence avenue). During this summer I will adjust to working in an office, living in the city instead of my small town, and learning how to do things for myself rather than relying on my parents. Here’s hoping that I can accomplish everything I have my eyes set on.
