Hey folks!
Where is all the time going?! I am basically half way through with my internship at this point which is CRAZY. At this point you may be wondering why my pictures are always of desk supplies rather than DC or my face. Well that answer has five parts…
I hate having my picture taken. (I’m no Quasimodo but that doesn’t mean I don’t dislike 90% of the photos taken of me)
The internet is a strange place. I prefer to hide from the deep dark web than just jump right into with my name, photo, location, and age. For all I know some creepy guy could be out there trolling for young interns on event planning blogs.
Office supplies are super dope in my opinion. (don’t lie you love going to staples and picking out some super cute agenda books)
I never take photos of things that I see but rather capture them in my neural memory bank.
I forgot to take a single picture my second week until around 5pm and that was the only thing I could think of.
That whole spiel makes it seem that I don’t know the difference between a computer and a cardboard box. Contrary to that idea, I am quite tech savvy. This week I have spent lots of time comparing social media walls, navigating around a plethora of spreadsheets, and fixing the printer whenever it jams (basically every time you print something). I still feel like I have a lot to learn, so I’ll let you know if I ever figure out how to work a fax machine or something ancient like that.
Tune in again on Monday for my next update!
- Marie :)
