I interned at BRAVO! during the Spring of 2017
Currently, I’m in St. Petersburg Florida and I’m a Studio Coordinator for the Home Shopping Network television station.
Honestly, some of my favorite moments are BRAVO! were sitting with Nancy after a long day and having her give me life advice. I needed a lot of it at the time, and she’s such a kind and patient person. Work-wise I loved helping at the big gala at the end of my time there. It took a lot of work to put it on that, unfortunately, I missed out on. But, during the big night I got to be on headset and run around in the background helping out, which was very fun and very close to what I do now.
My BRAVO! experience really changed my entire semester in D.C. Nancy and the ladies at BRAVO! made me so happy to be in the capital, and they taught me so much over such a small amount of time. One of the most important things they taught me was to keep positive, and let things roll off your back. No matter how bad things may get, you need to keep a smile on your face when things get stressful. It makes solving problems and moving on so much easier! Being in the event planning business, that skill is so essential to doing good work. I wasn’t that great at it during my time there, but I took what they taught me and all the kindness they showed me, and worked on it long after I left. I’m still no expert, but I’m a lot better at being calm, professional, and friendly now because of those amazing ladies. It really helps me in my career today, and I’m so grateful to them for being voices of reason and teaching me this important lesson (among many others) early on. I’m still a big supporter of BRAVO! today because of how awesome they were. I sincerely hope they’re all doing well. And I miss them all the time.
